500 kW Weichai Gas Generator Set for Natural Gas and Biogas Projects
This 500 kW Weichai gas generator set provides on-site power for industrial facilities, distributed-energy projects and gas-to-power applications. It combines the Weichai 12M26D605E300NG engine with a Leroy-Somer LSA 47.3L10 alternator.

Natural gas is the standard fuel for this engine configuration. Operation on biogas or another gaseous fuel is subject to gas analysis, engine calibration and technical confirmation. Actual output may vary with fuel quality and site conditions.
Configured for the Fuel and the Site
A reliable gas power system starts with accurate operating data. The generator set and supporting equipment are specified around four practical requirements:
- Fuel supply: The gas train is matched to the available pressure, flow and gas characteristics. Biogas drying, desulfurization or siloxane removal may be required depending on the fuel source.
- Control and power integration: Controls, protection, synchronization and switchgear are configured for stand-alone, grid-parallel or multi-unit operation. Electrical parameters are confirmed for the destination market and intended application.
- Installation: Cooling and ventilation are sized for the ambient conditions and equipment layout. Open-frame, sound-attenuated and containerized packages are available, with exhaust silencing or emissions treatment where required.
- Heat utilization: For projects with a stable thermal demand, optional CHP equipment can recover heat from the engine jacket-water circuit and exhaust gas. The recovered energy may be used for process hot water, digester heating or space heating. Heat exchangers and circulation equipment are sized from the required temperatures, flow rate and operating profile.
